Today's card is "Weariness." Not the most pleasant one, but one of the most honest — because it's about the soul getting tired too, and for some reason we're ashamed to admit that. We accept easily that the body needs sleep, but the moment something inside us wears out, we start pushing ourselves harder. One more effort, one more try to feel something, to get inspired, to believe again. And inside — nothing. That scares people more than the tiredness itself: it feels like if you're not burning, something must be wrong with you.
I don't know this from books. There were stretches when I could sit in the forest for hours and feel nothing — no gratitude, no presence, none of the things I write to other people about. And the first reaction is panic: if I don't feel it, I've lost the connection, I've slid backward. That's a lie. The soul, like the body, can't burn forever. It overloads too, it needs silence too, and the hard part is that this is exactly the state where it's hardest to stop — because stopping feels like losing. It isn't. What's far worse is pushing yourself forward on an empty tank, because then the crash is bigger, and recovery takes a month instead of a week.
What to do today — cross one thing off your "have to" list. Don't replace it with another task, don't fill the gap by scrolling your feed — just leave the empty space and sit in it. A walk with no destination, an hour without your phone, silence with no job to do. The soul doesn't run on a productivity schedule, and the harder you push it, the slower it recovers. Let it just lie there for a while. Light comes after darkness — that's not a pretty phrase, it's something I've tested on myself many times, and every single time, in the moment, I didn't believe it was true.
"Rest is also part of the path, not a stop along it."
