“Eternity” · “Awakening of the Soul” deck · #51

Today's card is "Eternity." The name is misleading — this isn't about how much time you have. It's about how little. There's no reserve of "later" that I myself played with for years — "later," "once things calm down," "once I sort this out." I put off real conversations for years that way — with my father, with myself — and at some point I understood that "later" doesn't just arrive on its own. It arrives only when you name the day yourself. Otherwise the word lives forever, and you stand still right next to it.
Here's the honest, hard part: it's comfortable to believe there's still plenty of time. It lets you off the hook right now — you don't have to start, or finish, or admit something, or pay a debt that's been hanging over your soul for years. I know this feeling from the inside — carrying something unsaid for years doesn't make it disappear, it just gets heavier. The soul doesn't forget its debts, even when you've conveniently forgotten them yourself. It didn't come here to rest — it came to close something specific. And if you keep waiting for the "right moment," you can live your whole life next to your own task without ever touching it.
So here's what to do today: don't think abstractly about the meaning of life — pick one concrete thing. One conversation you never had. One debt you never paid. One thing you've been postponing for far too long. And take one real step on it — not in your head, with your hands: write the message, make the call, start. Not everything at once — one step. Because there really is no eternity. There's this day, and it's already running while you're reading this.
"You don't have eternity. You have today — and that's enough."
