Today it's «The Power of the Ancestors». Not horoscope talk, not a pretty metaphor — it's about the fact that you didn't start with yourself. Behind you stands a long chain of people you mostly never even knew by name, and they somehow survived — war, hunger, moving to nowhere, losing children, foreign countries, a foreign language. You're sitting here reading this on your phone — and that's already the result of a thousand of their decisions to keep going. I brushed this off myself for a long time, "ancestors are somewhere out there, I'm on my own" — until I went to my grandfather's grave, a man I barely knew anything about, and just stood there in silence. And I felt something I can't name, but it was real — not invented to make a nice line of text.

The honest hard part is this — for a lot of people the word "family line" isn't warm. For some it's a wound, not a support: a father who drank, a mother who didn't protect you, broken ties, people you'd rather not remember. And here's the trap — to say "then this card isn't about me" and close the subject. But the power of your ancestors isn't an obligation to love every single one of them by name. It's admitting a fact: they went through what they went through, as best they could, often worse than you would have in their place — and they still carried life all the way to you. You can not forgive a specific person and still take the strength of the line itself, the sheer ability to survive and keep going, which has already passed the test of time through you.

What to do today — short: light one candle and say out loud the name of at least one person in your line that you remember — not a prayer, just a name and "thank you for the fact that I exist." If you can go to a cemetery — go. If you can't, that's not a problem either, this energy isn't tied to a place. Just stop pretending you invented yourself from scratch.
